Bennett Beach is historically significant. Artifacts over 3,300 years old have been found on the site. The Pyramids in Egypt are estimated to be 3,000 years old. The Dacotah shipwreck dates back to 1860.
University at Buffalo's Departments of Archaeology and Anthropology are interested in assisting in the future development of Bennett Beach.
