Which Court?

In 2004 - 2005, when the Town of Evans sent officials to the Associations of Towns convention in NYC, the town's judges and staff stayed in a different hotel than the rest of the town's representatives. The town board had parties at taxpayer's expense. Given that even in Evans the courts operated at a much higher standard, maybe FOIL should give the petitioner the option of filing an Article 78L (L = Local) with their town's court. If you have concerns that a local judge may not enforce the law, the judge the Evans "Freeholders" drew is state court resigned a few months after tossing case on technicalities.
